My story

Meet Astro! Astro is a sweet, mild-mannered pug who came to us after being found as a stray and taken to the shelter. While there, he was unfortunately attacked by another dog, so hes currently healing from a woundbut hes handling it like a champ and getting better every day. He also most likely has a flea allergy, so his coat shows some remnants of that right now. With soothing baths and preventative meds, his skin and coat will be glowing in no time. Despite his rough start, Astros personality shines through. Hes quiet (he hasnt barked once!), gentle, and very food-motivated, which makes training easy. Hes working on potty training and currently wears a belly band as he learns. On leash, Astro is fantasticno pulling, no reactivity to dogs, people, or noisesjust a little bit of weaving now and then. At home, he sleeps peacefully in a playpen with two small dogsno whining, barking, or even snoring! He gets along with all kinds of dogs, from bossy to playful, and is respectful around cats, giving them a sniff and then moving on. He can be a little mouthy when excited to greet you, but its gentle and playful. Astro has some funny quirks, like counter-surfing and even climbing onto the dining table, so his forever family should be ready for a little mischief mixed with a lot of love. He adores blackberries and is always down to hang out, whether its Netflix binge time or an outdoor adventure. Astro may flinch at quick movements over his head, but with kindness and patience, hell continue to build confidence. Hes an adaptable, affectionate pug whos been through a lot and is ready to find a forever family that will shower him with love and care.
