Name: Maxine Date available: 8/23/25 by appointment only Sex: Female Age: 16 weeks Gets along with: Dogs & cats & anyone that comes over! Type of food: Purina One Kitten dry Littermate/Littermates/roomies: Wolfe Maxi is a very special baby girl who has the sweetest personality. This perfect angel was pulled by IBR from a county shelter due to her special needs that couldn’t be met in a shelter environment. Maxine was found to have a deformed tibia that has caused her to move differently than most kittens. When she walks she drags her back legs behind her. This does not slow her down at all. She keeps up with all of the other kittens and cats in the house with no problem. She is an expert climber and always wins in a game of tag with her buddy Wolfe! Toys are no match for this special girl! She hunts them with precision like she is a wild big cat in the jungle. While the way Maxine gets around can be the main thing you notice when you first meet her, it truly is the least interesting thing about her. She eats, drinks, plays, and uses the litter box like any other kitten. Although Maxine’s special needs don’t hinder her much, she will require a little more attention and care from her adopters. Things like low sided litter boxes and bigger potty areas have helped her with her potty habits! She may require a little butt soak here and there to ensure that she is squeaky clean. I can promise you that these things are a small lift for such a special kitten. Maxine loves her people and enjoys following them all around the house! She loves couch cuddles after a good romp with her kitten/cat friends! Her purr motor is top notch and can turn any difficult day right around. Everyone who meets Maxi falls for her immediately because she just radiates love. Maxine would do best in a home with people who are around a good amount of time and in a home that has another kitten or cat that she can bond with!
