My story

Villa has adjusted beautifully to her foster home and is already showing what a special pup she is. She loves cuddles from her 12- and 10-year-old foster sisters, and she plays an adorable game of hide-and-seek with our dog — until she realizes she can’t keep up and curls herself into a tiny ball for a nap. She’s a crate rockstar, happily settling in when we leave and sleeping through the night (10pm–6am!) without a single tear or potty break. Smart as a whip, Villa is already learning house manners by following the family dog outside, running back to the door, and sitting politely for her treat. Villa is the perfect mix of playful puppy energy and sweet snuggles. She’s ready to bring joy, loyalty, and a whole lot of love to her forever family! Adoption Day: September 13th at PetSmart Tysons Corner from 10:00–11:00 AM, an approved adopter must be present to adopt. Some pups may stick around until 11:00 AM for the public event—check our Facebook page closer to the date to see if this pup will be attending the extra fun! Villa continues to be an absolute rockstar and has adjusted beautifully. She is super playful and especially loves a good chase. Her favorite toys—especially Bugs Bunny—keep her endlessly entertained. Villa is very food-motivated and will happily do just about anything for a treat. She already sits on command and is learning how to give her paw. She also closely follows the lead of our older dog, which has been a big help in her learning. She’s working hard on potty training and has had very few accidents this week. She’s even started going over to sit by the door when she needs to go out, which is such a big step forward. Leash walking is still a work in progress—if she’s near home, she wants to turn right back toward the familiar, but once she’s a bit farther away, she walks much more confidently. After a burst of energy, she’s happiest snuggled up in your lap. Villa continues to do wonderfully with her crate. She goes in willingly when we leave the house, and she now sleeps soundly through the night from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. ##2502437##
