Chewy loves lap time and will beg to get in your lap if you are sitting at your computer or watching TV or just having quiet time. Because she is a couple pounds overweight, we want someone who will commit to keeping her at her idea weight which we believe should be around 12 pounds, no more than that. Our must haves for Chewy are: Fenced in yard Another small young MALE dog or two (no females or a submissive female) We also think she could be an only dog as long as you work from home or newly active retired person(s) Someone that can be home more than not No apartments, high rises or condos as she likes to bark when someone comes in the door If you meet our requirements and wish to adopt Chewy, please go to our website and fill out our online adoption application. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund’s back or get bitten.
