My story

Meet Mocha!Mocha is a gentle, affectionate girl who’s ready to leave her difficult past behind and find the loving home she deserves. She came to THS with lacerations and scars from being attacked by another dog in her previous home, and because of that trauma, she can be nervous around other dogs. When meeting a dog at the shelter, she chose to avoid interaction, so it is highly recommended that she meet any potential canine companions before adoption to ensure she feels comfortable.With people, Mocha is nothing but sweet. During her assessment, she quickly warmed up to staff—especially when treats were involved! She loves affection, enjoys toys, and is very treat motivated, which will make training and bonding with her even more rewarding. Though she may be a little nervous in new environments, her playful and loving personality shines through once she feels safe. Mocha is ready to be someone’s loyal companion and would thrive in a home where she can be showered with love, patience, and plenty of snacks.Stop by and meet Mocha today!
