My story

Just wants to be loved...that's our Toby! Toby is an approx 2 year old, 15lb, male, Jack Russell/Doxy mix that is all about cuddles and love! He came to us when he was found on the streets abandoned and all alone...most likely dumped. A kind woman took him in and was able to get him scanned for a microchip (he didn't have one) and neutered. He was also treated for bite wounds on his body and foxtails embedded in his paws. We got him into an amazing and patient foster home and now he is looking for his forever home! Toby needs a very patient, loving, and nurturing home that will give him the time he needs to decompress and feel safe. We know from experience that he will come to you very scared and will do low growling. Humans failed him in his past and he is untrusting at first understandably. It took his foster mom 2 days before he felt safe with her and her family, but once he knew everything was ok....he was all about the love! In fact, he LOVES to snuggle! Toby definitely needs another young and playful dog in the home! He is AMAZING with other dogs and seems to love them all! This playful pup definitely needs a safe and secure backyard to run around and play in. Toby was most likely mistreated by men in his life as he is a little stand offish with them, but will open up with time. Potential adopters must be prepared that he is going to being shut down at meet/greets, but trust us when we tell you it only takes like 2 days for him to feel safe and loved, so we are looking for a home for him that will not give up quickly on him and give him that time he needs.... It will definitely be worth while! Toby is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
