Hamate 17744145 lb. spayed female, approx 3 years old -She started off ever so timid in the beginning…Cautiously exploring and approaching me.-That didn’t last long! She ended up playfully chasing me around the yard and doing some zoomies.-She chased toys but never engaged in play-She’s very treat motivated, sits and takes them gently-Inside once she got even more relaxed and comfortable she turned into a complete lapdog-Loves pets and belly rubs!-Affectionate and gives kisses-She walks really well on a leash-Seems like a potty holder… Her kennel was clean and she went as soon as we got out the back door.-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids•Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** •The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30 **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Hamate, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
