My story

Sometimes destiny intervenes and we are sure glad that it did. For Briar and her siblings, the road to a second chance started by being found as strays, ending up in a shelter and then being rescued by a person that saw the protentional in these five-month-old labrador retriever mixes and started them on the road to a forever family. They could not be happier, and neither can we. Briar is a standout with a confident and friendly personality. She is currently 21 pounds and will certainly get bigger as time goes on. If she was to grow into her personality, she would be larger than life, but are best estimate is that she will be a medium size dog of under 60 pounds when fully grown. Briar will indulge in lots of play and playmates. With adorable puppy antics, high puppy energy and a constant wagging tail, there is no end to the joy that she will give to her family. Briar does well with other dogs, children but it is unknown if she would befriend of cat at this time since she has not had any exposure to a feline since coming into rescue. She will be a delight to all those around her. Her house, crate and house training are in process. It will take lots of practice to accomplish her goals. Briar looks forward to accomplishing her skill set in the near future. As with all puppies, Briar is full of curiosity and wonderment and is ready to grow from adorable puppy to amazing dog with the right guidance and patience. She will need a home with someone who has the time, desire and energy to train and socialize her so that her can become the perfect lifelong companion. There will be lots of memories, fun times and loving moments when Briar is your family member. Do not let another moment go by without filling out an application for Briar. * Please keep in mind when considering adoption, dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust significantly better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Briar is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.September 10, 2025, 6:34 am
