My story

Meet Hydra 3 (aka Astro)! Astro is a bright, affectionate one-year-old pup with a whole lot of love to give. On walks, he’s a total star—he checks in often with sweet glances (hoping for a treat!) and sits automatically when you pause, showing off his eagerness to please. He’s food-motivated and attentive. This playful boy loves his toys, and adores snuggling up with his person, often flashing his irresistible snaggle-toothed grin.Still a youngster, Astro has some puppy energy and can get a little jumpy and mouthy when excited, but he’s eager to learn and will thrive with guidance from his adopter. His desire to please makes him a wonderful student who’s ready to blossom with training, patience, and consistency.Astro has met other dogs at the shelter but can be a bit unsure, so he’ll need to meet any potential dog siblings to ensure they’re a good match.If you’re looking for a loyal, cuddly, and eager-to-learn companion, come meet Hydra 3 (Astro) at BARCS—you just might find your new best friend!
