My story

Handsome Archipelago is such an affectionate and friendly guy. If you take a break to sit on a bench, he may hop his front paws up beside you, leaning into you for all the pets and love. He is full of smiles, tail wags, hugs and even gentle kisses - he could sit like this all day with his person. Archipelago likes to look back at you sweetly while walking to make sure you`re paying attention. He walks beautifully on a gentle leash, and knows “sit.” He doesn’t show much interest in other dogs out and about. He`s easily redirected and a very good boy. He seems to be housebroken here at the shelter.Archipelago has met other dogs at the shelter, and does best with tolerant friends. He will need to meet any potential doggie roommates to make sure they are a good match.I`m a VIP because I`m still learning, and the shelter can be a tough place for dogs like me to shine. But I’ve got a whole team cheering me on!Here are a few things the staff and volunteers are helping me with:• Learning to make the right dog friends at the right paceIf you`re patient and open-hearted, I could be your best friend. I`m available for either adoption or foster—both will help me tremendously! When you visit, a staff member can walk you through what’s been working for me and how you can keep the progress going at home.
