My story

**Ari is being fostered by a DCHS staff member. If not at the shelter with her foster parent, she can be returned to the shelter quickly for visits the same-day in most cases**Ari is a gentle, sensitive soul who’s been waiting for the right person (and pup) to help her blossom. She’s a shy girl at first, but once she feels safe, Ari shows her silly, playful side—collecting squeaky toys in her bed, thumping her tail for pets, and even play-bowing when she’s excited.Ari absolutely loves—and thrives in—the company of other dogs. Having a confident, friendly dog by her side helps her feel braver, whether it’s exploring the outdoors, following along on leash, or meeting new people. Because of this, Ari will need a home with another playful, social dog to be her role model and best buddy.She’s not the right match for small children, but she’ll thrive in a patient, calm home where her people understand that trust takes time—and that the reward is a truly sweet, loyal companion. With love, patience, and a four-legged friend by her side, Ari is sure to shine.Medical History: I appear to be a healthy dog, but it`s always a good idea to set up an appointment with your vet soon after adoption so we can meet each other!Weight: ~ 40lbsAdoption Fee: $200 +tax
