My story

Lokey A17758549 lb. neutered male, approx 1 1/2 years old -He can start off a little nervous and unsure. The wind and noises made him a little uneasy at times.-Once he’s comfortable he loves to be close for pets and snuggles-When you scratch his butt he gets excited and wiggly-He had little signs of playfulness with some small play bows and hops-He sits and takes treats nicely. He eats them occasionally. Sometimes he goes back to them and eats them later. He doesn’t seem super food motivated.-Curious of toys and chases them but doesn’t engage in play yet-Might be a potty holder as he tries to keep his kennel clean-Good boy!-He walks nicely on a leash with minimal pulling-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids•Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** •The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30 **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit
