My story

Meet Blue Lantern!Blue Lantern came to ACC as a stray via the 49th Precinct. With his striking good looks and classic Husky personality, he's independent, intelligent, and athletic. In the shelter he's shown moments of playfulness and curiosity, though he can also become tense when guarding toys or when unsure about new situations. My Ideal HomeBlue Lantern will do best in an experienced, adult-only home that understands the unique quirks of Huskies. He'll thrive with structure, patience, and a calm environment. A yard or frequent outdoor adventures would be a plus. Dog parks are not recommended at this time; instead, he should be socialized in a more controlled setting. Good with Kids?No children under 13. Due to his resource guarding and handling sensitivity, Blue Lantern is best suited for an adult-only household. Good with Other Pets?Dog history is mixed. He's shown soft greetings in some moments but also growling and tension in others. Slow, structured introductions with other dogs are essential. Cats: unknown. Leash MannersBlue Lantern walks with a light pull once settled, but can baulk when re-entering buildings or elevators. Positive reinforcement and patience will help him build confidence. Overall HealthBlue Lantern is neutered, up to date on core vaccines, heartworm negative, and recently cleared from kennel cough. He is otherwise healthy and ready for his forever home. Behavior DeterminationLevel 4 - Adult-only home. Needs ongoing training for impulse control, resource guarding, and confidence-building. Fun FactsBlue Lantern is stunning, clever, and spirited. He enjoys toys (sometimes a little too much!) and has been seen play-bowing and bouncing when in a good mood. With the right guidance, he'll make an incredible companion for someone who understands Huskies and is ready for a rewarding journey. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 54 Age: 1yrs 7mths 0wks
