You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Little Blue is a 7 year old dachshund/chihuahua mix who came to us as an owner surrender. He's a spicy little guy with a fun and spunky personality. He does have a slight issue with one front leg that causes him to limp or just not use it. Boy can he run on 3 legs! We did have the leg checked out and x-rayed and nothing strange was apparent. We've had him on some pain meds and it does seem to be improving so it could have been an old injury that was never treated. He will be neutered on Sept. 18th and his fee is $150. Blue tries to be a little tough guy when he first meets new people, especially when he's in his kennel. It's a small dog thing because he warms up quickly when he's out and about. He loves attention and belly rubs. His former owner said he's fine with other small dogs and cats. We think he'd do best in a mostly adult only home. Kids over 10 should be fine. NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South.
