My story

    Meet Moxie Sassafras!   Moxie Sassafras — or just “Moxie” to her friends — is a sweet little bundle of love looking for her forever home! Born on June 22, 2025, Moxie is one of 12 in her litter and is a unique shepherd/boxer/husky mix with a petite frame. At just 8 pounds right now, we expect her to grow to about 35–40 pounds — the perfect medium size for snuggles on the couch and adventures outdoors.   Moxie has the softest, short fur and an incredibly affectionate personality. She absolutely loves being held, carried around, or curled up next to her person for naps. She’s a quiet pup who rarely barks, but she has a playful streak — she’ll have bursts of energy for zoomies, playtime with her stuffed animals or Nylabones, and then happily snooze for a long nap.   This little social butterfly loves everyone she meets — dogs and people alike — and would thrive in a home where she can be part of the family’s daily life. Whether you have other dogs or she’ll be your one-and-only, she’ll be happiest when she can be close to her people. Moxie is very good at staying near her person and will be your loyal little shadow.   Moxie is healthy, spayed, and up to date on her vaccinations. She’s working on potty training and is quick to go potty when taken outside. She sleeps through the night in bed, and while she’s learning crate training, she prefers to be out where she can see her family. She’s also an excellent car rider — she’ll curl up and nap through most trips without getting sick.   Moxie’s ideal home would be one where she’s included in the family’s day-to-day activities, with plenty of time for snuggles, play, and companionship. She would make a wonderful best friend for someone looking for a loyal, loving companion with the perfect balance of playful energy and cuddle-bug personality.   Are you ready to meet Moxie Sassafras and make her part of your family?
