My story

Hi I'm Tucker! I am a three year old, large sized, neutered male, brown tabby. I am a sweet yet shy guy, who would do best in a quiet house with no small children. I am also FIV+, which means I need to live indoors only, and be the only resident cat- or with other FIV+ cats. I enjoy treats, and will follow you around asking for more. I'm sure once I am comfortable in my furever home, my playful side will come out. Watch out ping pong balls- I've got moves to rival Messi! If you are looking for a loving companion who will spend time chilling watching tv with you- am I your dude? Ask for me- Tucker ID#A972099.   This cat tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus).  He/she otherwise appears to be in excellent health.  Cats with FIV can usually live for many years with no medical problems.  Usually at some point however the virus will start to affect them.  The most common thing that happens is that they get sicker than a normal cat would when they get a cold or other condition.  FIV is transmitted almost exclusively via bite wounds. For this reason we recommend that this cat should be an only cat and not be allowed outdoors.  New owner should be prepared to have expenses relating to veterinary care in the future. Please ask to speak with a PHS Veterinarian to learn more about this cat and FIV.  Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Drop-In hours for Same Day Adoptions are 11 am – 5 pm, 7 days a week (closed major holidays). We do our best to update our listings regularly, but we can’t guarantee every animal you see is still available. It’s also typical for us to have animals who haven’t had their photos taken yet, so you are welcome to visit our adoption center and have a look around!
