My story

Hi there! My name is Jax and I'm at the Santa Maria Campus. I'm a 3 year old, Male, Catahoula Mix Breed who came to SB Humane in search of a new caring home. I am a curious boy who is in need of a new person to help me gain confidence, give me structure and love being my new best friend. I enjoy being around other dog friends and playing in the yard. Once I feel comfortable I will follow you all over! I enjoy head rubs, belly scratches, and lounging in the sun! Interested in meeting me? Adoption Centers are open daily 12-4:30pm, closed Wednesdays. Adoptions are on a first-come first served basis. For more information please email Adopt@SBHumane.org or call 805-964-4777. When I am adopted, I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adopters will receive a certificate for a free veterinary exam and our partners at Purina will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home. Our adoption fees help support our community programs and the next animal who needs our help!
