My story
All Jolene wants is to love and be close to humans. Jolene is a one year-old 44 pound Australian Cattle Dog that arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 8/29 as a stray. Have you noticed that she appears to be smiling in these photos? When I saw this, I couldn’t help but think of the phrase “put on your happy face.” She is a very happy, attentive, calm, gentle, well mannered, sweet and friendly dog! She stayed very close looking up at me. I couldn’t help but fall in love with her. She did do her business in the yard. She was a little hesitant about walking on the leash. I think she was intimidated by other dogs barking. She wants to be an inside dog, but would love to go for walks and have a yard to stretch her legs.
