My story

If you follow us on social media, you know about Marley. This tiny 7 pound angel lived inside for 6 years and then was forced to live outside, alone in a cage for 3 years. (He’s 9 years old) He was being tortured by fleas and starved by the worms caused by the fleas. His people reached out to us for help and he was at LTR a few hours later. Since he was living outside in Lake County, we feared heartworm. He was dying when we got him. His bloodwork was scary but luckily it was just severe anemia. Once we got the flea damage, itchiness and worms under control, he improved quickly. His hair is growing back, he’s gaining weight and he’s loving being loved again. Marley needs to sleep with his humans; he loves car rides and he’s definitely a lap dog. We’re still rebuilding this little survivor but in the meantime, he’s ready for his very own home. Once he’s strong enough, we can neuter him and clean his teeth. Proper nutrition and oodles of love are working wonders for this wonderful little dog. We’re so lucky to be the once who get to help him.
