My story

Meet Guernsey, our sweet and easygoing 10-year-old lady! This small dog may be a senior, but she has a heart full of love and a gentle, happy spirit. Guernsey is friendly with everyone she meets and has a wonderfully tolerant and laid-back personality—she’s just looking for a calm, loving home to enjoy her golden years.Guernsey recently had a bladder stone removed and is recovering well. She's feeling much better and ready for her next chapter! Whether you're looking for a quiet companion or a mellow buddy to relax with, Guernsey could be the perfect match.Come meet this lovely girl in person at the MaryAnn Wright Animal Adoption and Education Center—she can’t wait to wag her tail just for you!For current adoption fees, please see our website, www.metrodetroitanimals.org. Adoption fee includes: age-appropriate vaccinations, spay or neuter, microchip, ID tag, fecal / worming, basic physical and behavior assessment. Dogs (6 months and older) receive an occult heartworm test. For an additional $20, cats (12 weeks and older) can be tested for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) / FLV (feline leukemia).
