Location: Hanover, MN Hi everyone! While I’m 99.9% sure my good looks and charm brought you to my page, I do hope you’ll take a few minutes to read more about me. After all, I’m not just a pretty face. To start, my name is Brother Bear, but I am more affectionately known as Buddy to those closest to me. I don’t want to toot my own horn too loudly right off the bat, but I should let you know that in our foster dog yearbook, I was the winner of the following superlatives: • Prettiest Eyes – I mean who can ignore these baby blues? • Best Snuggler – Need a snuggle buddy on the couch? I’m there. A shoulder to cry on? There again. A pal to sit with while we enjoy this thing called life? I volunteer as tribute! • Best Hair – This fluff don’t quit, and it air dries beautifully. • Best Personality – I have been told time and time again that I am a “hoot and a half,” whatever that means. • Most improved – I have come a long way in a very short amount of time, and I know that I will continue to grow and improve if given the chance. (I follow a routine very well!) • Most likely to brighten up your day – This win goes out to all the dogs, as we all know no one brightens your day quite like a dog. I don’t know what my future holds for me, but I’m hoping with your help we could win at least one more category next year. Perhaps, Best Friends? As my potential future partner in crime, adventure buddy, and best friend, I feel I should be honest with you about all of me. Honesty is the best policy, right? Let’s get down to the nitty-gritty. While I don’t think this next topic is appropriate dinner table conversation, I’ll let you use your best judgement to get up from the table if needed. I am proud to say that I am pretty good about knowing when and where to do my business (bathroom stuff). Foster mom has me on a routine that I follow very well, and even when I get distracted by leaves, I can easily get back on track to finish what I started. I may regress a bit in a new environment, especially as I adapt to your lifestyle and routine, but I promise to try my best! Another bit of good news is that I am comfortable sleeping in a kennel. I may protest for a bit at first, but I do settle down. I am most comfortable sleeping when I have my giant lamb chop plushie to snuggle, which foster mom promises to send along with me to my new home. I am very motivated by food and praise, which will benefit us both in my training. Eating is currently one of my greatest joys in life, and I don’t see that going away anytime soon. I may try to convince you that you’ve forgotten to feed me, so I’m hoping you’re sharp enough to not fall for my charms and puppy dog eyes. I know that was a lot to take in, so please take a moment to remember: I’m also just a pup standing in front of a potential adopter, asking you to love me. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Brother Bear, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
