My story

This pet needs emergency placement. Please click here to go to our emergency placement page for more information.Dudley need at risk placement for medical reasons. She is a mature cat who is not eating due to an upper respiratory tract infection. She loves head and cheek rubs and needs supportive care in a veterinary clinic to recover. What my friends at ACC say about me:My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children.I have lived with cats in my previous home.I am a sweet, shy, older gal, looking for the perfect forever home!Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy!I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am.I am looking for a home with a patient person.I'm sensitive and shy. I'll need extra help from you.I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.A volunteer writes:  Sweet Dudley is a seasoned lady, 10 years young, who loves to snack. If I gave her a whole bag of treats I'm sure she'd indulge. She started in a loaf at the back of her kennel, I wasn't quite sure what to expect or whether she would be open to interacting. I gave her a few treats to butter her up and then gently extended my hand towards her. She gently pushed her head into my hand, urging me to continue petting her. I gave her the liberty to take things at her own pace and be patient and I think she would appreciate any owner who would do the same for her. Just a few minutes of patience and respecting her boundaries went a long way. I saw her beginning to roll over and get more comfortable and relaxed. It was heart warming. I found her to be a friendly girl who lets out sweet chirps to get my attention. She was brought to us with other kitties and is ready to join your home. If you are interested in this refined lady, come down to meet her! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 10 Age: 10yrs 0mths 1wks

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Dudley, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
