Mickey

My story

Mickey is apx 2 years old and 8 pounds terrier mix. He is a low/no shedding pup. Very good with all other animals but is very skittish. It takes Mickey a bit to get used to new people and places. He is scared of change and he needs help building his confidence. He has never bitten but I would not 110% put it past him if he was super scared and cornered, that being said he was great at the vets office and he came from a home with small children he loved them. Because all we can go on is his fearful behavioral here at the rescue, at this point we are going to say no children. He does not walk on leash and harness and will need a fenced in yard. Mickey took about 3-4 weeks here to start coming to us for attention but he was never mean or aggressive, he would just run away, bark and keep his distance. It was a rough first week but now he is loving , social and sweet. He just needs a home willing to give him a second chance, some time, lots of patience, training and decompression time. He is great with all dogs and good with cats . I do think Mickey has it in him to be a social and loving family companion , he just needs that special person to step up for him . He does not mark here and appears to have good potty manners. Approved adopters please send your hold requests to the email you were given.
