Mikey

My story

This sweet little boy was surrendered to a high kill shelter in Alabama because his senior mom said she just couldn’t keep up with him. When we first got him, we couldn’t understand that because he was very confused and very quiet and very shy. Now that he has been here a week, he has come out of his shell and is very playful and full of energy. He loves to go for walks. He loves rides in the car and he loves following his person all over the house and sitting in a lap whenever possible. He is three years old in ways about 10 pounds. He is neutered, heartworm negative, micro chipped, and up-to-date on required vaccines. They said his name was Ike, but we’ve been calling him Mikey and he seems to like it. Mikey does appear to be house trained but of course he will need some time to get used to a new routine. He is fine with other dogs and ignores cats. Mikey is just a really special little dog looking for a safe, secure , forever home.
