My story

Meet Ripley the sweet 4-year-old, 25-lb Shih Tzu/Havanese....take your pick mix!!  Background: Ripley was found as a stray and joined rescue when no owner could be found. Personality: Ripley is an all-around good guy who can be reserved but sit down or pick up a toy to play fetch and he is your friend. He will warm up but needs a patient owner to just give him a little time:). He's gentle, cute, loves to be groomed, and is just waiting for a family to give him the love he deserves. Despite his rough start, Ripley's sweet and gentle nature suggests he was once loved but just did not get a lot of attention.. He's incredibly affectionate once comfortable and LOVEs to be petted and have his ears scratched!. Ripley also enjoys playing with all kinds of toys.  He is a quiet sort of fellow and would do better in a home that is not super active or busy. Health: Ripley is healthy, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.   Training: Ripley is perfectly housetrained using a dog door. He is not a fan of walks yet but loves sunbathing in his yard:) Ideal Home: Ripley would thrive in a home where he can be safe and loved. His laid-back, gentle nature makes him an ideal dog for a home that is not super busy. He loves the company of other dogs and would enjoy having a playful canine companion. A securely fenced-in yard is required to keep him safe as he explores. Adoption Requirements: Ripley's adoption fee is $350.
