Obi

My story

Another spaniel in the house! This is Obito(Obi for short) and she is a six year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who we are fostering in partnership with the Saratoga County Animal Shelter. Obi is a sweet girl but needs time to adjust to new people, especially because she has very poor vision and hearing so she startles easily. She is scheduled for eye surgery next month and will need special care until she recovers. Luckily she is not very active and likes to sleep a lot and snuggle, although that may change as she loses the extra weight she carries. Obi is very much a lap dog and wants to be near her person all the time: that person is currently me, but she attached so quickly I’m sure she would switch easily to her adopter. She is reliably housebroken and we are working on crate training to keep her safe when we leave the house. Obi is good with other dogs, but isn’t much interested in them; she would probably be fine with cats too. www.mountainrottierescue.net
