My story

Meet Mouse, a striking lavender Oriental Shorthair who is a purebred, nearly 8-year-old neutered male with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Mouse adores his humans - he’ll follow you from room to room, rub affectionately against you, and talk to you with his charming, loud voice before settling nearby on the couch or bed. While not always confident with big jumps, he absolutely loves cat trees and climbing, and he enjoys spending time in high places where he can watch over his home. Mouse has a few special preferences to keep him happy and comfortable. He needs a large litter box with high sides since he digs with gusto (sometimes trying to “reach China”). He is free-fed dry food 24/7 and enjoys a small can of wet food twice daily - mealtimes are a highlight for him! He is also very particular about his water - his bowl must be kept full and fresh, and if it gets even slightly dirty or low, he will yowl loudly until it’s corrected. His beloved blue feather wand toy and his favorite black crate mat/bed will come along to his new home, giving him comfort as he settles in. Mouse thrives as the center of attention and needs to be the only cat in the household. He will growl, hiss, meow loudly, swat, leap toward, or even outright fight another cat if they invade his space, so a cat-free home is essential for him. As for dogs, Mouse is generally not fond of them, but with an extremely slow introduction and a very calm, respectful dog, coexistence may be possible. He may be okay with children, preferably older kids who understand boundaries, in a calm and respectful environment. Birds are not recommended in his household due to his playful fascination with feathers. If you’re looking for an affectionate, talkative, and truly unique cat who will bond deeply with you, Mouse is ready to fill your home with love, conversation, and companionship. He is tested, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. His birth date is 9/28/2017 and his adoption fee is $600.September 8, 2025, 12:38 am

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Mouse, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
