My story

Meet Pei-Tato! This 1-year-old Shar-Pei may have started out a little rough around the edges, but just like a potato pulled from the dirt, with some love and care he’s turning into something truly wonderful. This guy is crazy sweet and will make you smile all day long! When Pei-Tato first came to us, he was underweight and had some skin issues, but thanks to medication, baths, and plenty of TLC, he’s looking (and smelling!) so much better.  He’s a goofy boy with a puppy-like spirit who loves to play with anything he can get his paws on. Pei-Tato is housebroken, kennel trained, and currently working on his leash skills—he’s still learning that walks can be fun! This boy loves other dogs and would shine in a home with another dog to play with. He is completely house trained and really seems to enjoy some time in his crate. He rides great in the car but does need some help getting in and out of the car probably due to the fact you can barely see his eyes due to the extra folds of skin! Soon, he’ll be neutered and have corrective entropion surgery, which will let him see the world clearly, likely for the very first time. We can’t wait to see his personality shine even brighter.
