My story

I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog L:4Meet Esalen, a 63-pound husky mix with a gentle heart and a sweet nature. This young guy came to us as a stray and is learning how to trust. He can be tentative at first, but once he feels comfortable, he’s affectionate and will softly wag his tail. Esalen is looking for a patient adopter who understands that he may take time to adjust to new situations. He’s not much of a puller on leash, though he is cautious and gets startled by sudden noises. He participates in the shelter’s playgroups and has shown he enjoys chase games once he's relaxed. He would thrive in a home that can help him continue building confidence at his own pace, whether with a dog buddy or as your solo dog.
