ALL ABOUT ME  Name: Elle Age: 6 years old Gender: Male Spayed/Neutered: Yes Breed: Schnauzer mix Colour: Black Weight: 14kg / 31lbs Microchipped: Yes   MY RESCUE STORY Hi there! I’m Elle. I had a scary start—I was rescued just in time from the euthanasia list at a city pound. Thankfully, kind rescuers saw my situation and gave me a second chance at life. Now I’m healthy, happy, and ready to find my forever family who will love me, keep me safe, and let me finally feel at home.   MY HEALTH Fully vaccinated (5-round series complete)  I’ve been neutered and have no known health issues.   MY PERSONALITY I’m super friendly and affectionate with people—I absolutely love attention and cuddles! When it comes to other dogs, I prefer to have my own space and would do best as the only dog in the home. That said, I’m happy to share treats with other pups, as long as they respect my personal bubble and don’t get too pushy. With the right family who understands my need for a little space, I’ll be the sweetest, most loving companion you could ask for.    MY SOCIAL SKILLS With People: I’m a super sweet and friendly pup who adores people! Every new friend I meet instantly becomes my favorite, and I’m always seeking love, pets, and attention. I love showing my belly as a sign of trust, and you can easily scoop me up for cuddles. I haven’t had much experience with children yet, but with my gentle and friendly nature, I’m sure I’d do wonderfully with calm, respectful, dog-savvy kids. I’m easygoing around people and don’t guard my food, making me a loving and relaxed companion for any family.   With Dogs:  While I’m super friendly and affectionate with people, I tend to be a bit more reserved around my dog friends. I like having my own space and can sometimes feel a little jealous if another dog is getting extra attention. I would thrive best in a home where I’m the only dog, though I do enjoy a quick greeting and polite interaction with other pups before doing my own thing. If another dog is pushy or encroaches on my personal space, I’ll stand my ground, so supervision is important when I meet new canine friends. I prefer human companionship over dog company, but I’m happy to share food and treats with my dog friends at the care facility, showing I can be social when it’s on my terms.   With Cats:  I haven’t met any cats yet, so my reaction is unknown.    ENERGY AND ACTIVITIES I have a moderate energy level, which means I love spending time outdoors exploring and enjoying the fresh air. At the same time, I know how to settle down and relax once I’m back indoors, making me the perfect balance of playful and calm.   TRAINING & HABITS I can pull a little at times, but overall I walk nicely on leash and follow my handler’s lead well. I may bark when I want attention, but I also know how to rest quietly in my kennel and enjoy calm downtime. I’m already potty-trained for both indoors and outdoors, and with a consistent walk routine, I’ll happily prefer going outside once I settle in with my new family. In new environments, I might mark a bit, so some gentle guidance will help me adjust smoothly. I’m eager to learn and do my best for a loving family!   MY IDEAL HOME I’m looking for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that offers a safe, structured, and calm environment. A family that enjoys spending quality time together indoors & outdoors. A family that can shower me with love and attention. The only dog in the household. A family that is understanding and willing to help me become more confident when other dogs are around.    SPECIAL NOTES I’m a sweet and affectionate pup who absolutely loves people and attention. I enjoy showing my belly and you can easily pick me up for cuddles. I do best as the only dog in the home, though I’m polite with quick greetings and happy to share treats. I have a moderate energy level, love spending time outdoors, and I know how to potty both indoors and outside. I walk well on leash, rest quietly in my kennel, and just need a little guidance in new environments.
