My story

Meet Shadow, a five-year-old, 60 lb. Black Lab/Pittie mix with the sweetest personality. Shadow’s story is a sad one—his family adored him, but after moving into a new home, their landlord decided he “looked too pittie” and forced them to give him up. His family was devastated, and now this wonderful boy is searching for the furever home he deserves. Shadow is truly the best of both worlds: gentle, smart, and playful. He’s fantastic on a leash and loves going for walks, but he’s just as happy to curl up for a nap or sleep soundly through the night. He takes food and treats with the softest mouth, enjoys chew toys, and happily rests in his crate when needed. This handsome pup is housetrained, rides great in the car, knows his basic commands (sit, lie down, shake), and is eager to please. He gets along well with other dogs, loves kids, and still has a playful spirit despite his age—very much a lab at heart! A house with a fenced yard is highly preferred. Shadow is the kind of dog who will blend right into family life, filling your home with love, loyalty, and tail wags. He can’t wait to meet you!
