My story

KC came to us from one of the Pueblo TNR rescuers we have been working with.  When she got there to pick up other kittens, she found a mom and kittens living in the backyard of the home.  The kittens were all pretty wild when we got them.  However, KC has discovered the joys of life inside with humans far surpasses that of scrounging for food outside.  Foster mom reports “He purrs the minute I walk into the room.  He rubs on everything and immediately flops over for a belly rub. He even likes to be held on his back and have his tummy rubbed.  It takes a day or two for him to get used to a stranger but after that, he’s fine.  He is VERY food motivated, loves his wet food and Churus.  I am teaching him to come to a clicker for treats.  Between his food motivation and love for attention (he pushes my hand away when I reach to pet a sibling), he’s a great candidate for clicker training.”  KC is 6 months old, neutered and vaccinated  He is currently at a foster home in Evergreen.  Complete a cat application at www.eapl.com - once approved, you can visit and choose the kitten best suited to you and your home.   September 3, 2025, 8:42 pm
