My story

Hi there, I'm Bruno! I'm a sweet ~1 year old Dutch Shepherd mix with a heart of gold. I weigh about 30 pounds, and I'm all boy (well, minus the boy parts - I'm neutered!). I love nothing more than snuggling up on the couch with my favorite humans and getting endless belly rubs.  I'm looking for a family who will give me plenty of love, playtime, and adventure. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will be by your side through thick and thin, I'm your guy. I love to play with other dogs, people, and kids, I'm great with the whole crew! However, I've never met a cat so I'm not sure how I'd feel about them. I am medically up-to-date, housebroken, and crate trained. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save.
