My story

Randi is a sweet, gentle, and easygoing senior dog with a calm and confident spirit. This 12-year-old, 12-pound Chihuahua-Terrier mix has adjusted wonderfully to Brooklyn life. She's a sweet soul who enjoys slow, leisurely walks where she can take in all the sights and smells, and she loves nothing more than a good cuddle on the couch. __ Randi's Health Randi has been recovering from an illness and is healing well. She does have a persistent cough that may need long-term management with simple, easy-to-administer medication to keep her comfortable. __ Personality and Quirks Randi is a great mix of independent and affectionate. She's happy to nap on her own, but she's always up for some quality time with her people. She can be a bit of a picky eater, but once you find her tried-and-true favorites, she has a healthy appetite. While she's not big on toys, she does have playful streaks where she gets the zoomies and might pounce on a toy you dangle for her. __ A Little Bit About Her Training Randi is a smart girl who is continuing to master her basic commands. She knows "stay/wait," "come," and "no," and is making great progress with "sit" and "down." She's also working on her potty training, but is trained to use pee pads in the meantime. She's very cooperative on the leash and a calm, confident walker, especially on familiar routes, but needs space from too much foot traffic, loud skateboards, lunging dogs, and runners zooming by. __ The Ideal Home for Randi Randi is looking for a quiet, low-key home where her humans are around more often than not. Because she's a bit nervous around quick movements, a home without other pets or children is likely the best fit for her. She's an independent and respectful lady who is content when left alone, though she may bark a bit at first. With a little time and space, her gentle nature will shine through, and she will reward you with her love and affection. Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, and bordetella, heartworm negative, spayed and microchipped. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. To apply for Randi, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an adoption application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available. Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable dog, or final size of any of our adoptable puppies. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the dog into our rescue. Adoptions: adopt@waggytailrescue.org ##2478870##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Randi (Randall), please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
