My story

Patricia is a stunning dilute calico with soft, watercolor-like fur and gentle eyes that tell a story you’ll wish you could read. She was found as a stray and fed by a caring member of the community for several months before being brought to safety in mid-July by a local grassroots rescue. They asked us to give her a safe place to land and now she’s patiently waiting for a forever home that will be just that: forever. A Past with a Twist Once safe from the streets, she was scanned for a microchip — and surprise! It was registered to a rescue in New York. However, her adopter never updated the chip information, which sadly meant there was no way to track down her family. No one knows exactly how she made her way all the way to Ohio, but one thing’s for sure: Patricia is now officially a forever Buckeye, ready to leave her past behind and start fresh with a loving family. What’s Patricia Like? She’s been described as sweet and we couldn't agree more. Patricia has a calm, affectionate nature that hints at having once known the comfort of a home. She enjoys soft beds, gentle pets and peaceful moments curled up. She's the kind of cat who doesn’t need to demand attention. She simply earns it with her grace and warmth. Why Patricia? If you’re looking for a cat who brings a sense of calm and beauty into your home, Patricia is your girl. Her journey may have had some unexpected detours, but she hasn’t lost her capacity to love. She’s just waiting for the right person to love her back. The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times.
