My story

“Galileo, Figaro, Magnifico!”Galileo was surrendered to an overcrowded municipal shelter before being transferred to EHS. He is now safe with us and slowly learning that humans aren’t so bad.About Galileo- At shelter- Galileo is still adjusting to his new life at the shelter. Dedicated volunteers are there to help him along the way, providing support, assistance, and patience.- This sensitive guy appears to struggle with transitions. He favours a safe, cozy spot to hide when he’s introduced to a new environment.- Galileo is a skittish cat who has had minimal experience with humans.- Despite being shy, he has no issue expressing himself. We love a man who’s a strong communicator!- So far, Galileo is showing signs that treats may be the key to building trust with him, and he’s accepted a few pets with a back-scratcher.- Some skittish cats may remain reserved, while others may express their trust and affection in a variety of ways.- Galileo has been neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccinations.Galileo’s Ideal Home- A skittish cat will benefit from a calm, quiet environment, preferably without small children.- Galileo would appreciate a patient adopter who will facilitate a gradual introduction to his new home, since he may get overstimulated by full access to the space all at once.- We don’t yet know how Galileo would get along with other cats or dogs.- Potential adopters should be prepared to commit the time, effort, and patience required to help Galileo settle into his new environment. EHS will provide post-adoption support to assist Galileo with a successful transition to his forever home.Galileo is ready for a quiet home where he can receive love and learn to trust.
