My story

She's a 29 lbs terrier mix. She came to Selma as a stray with 2 other dogs. She was HW positive but she completed treatment and as of July, she's negative. She loves squeaky toys and chasing balls. She also loves chewing on Nylabones. She'll sleep at your feet under the covers and in the morning she talks when she's happy. Currently I'm giving her dry food mixed with a bit of wet. She would do best in a quiet house with other dogs. I don't have cats but she spent a week on a trial run with a person who had a cat and she just sat and stared at him. She never tried to play or be aggressive with the cat. She doesn't like loud noises. I have two teenage boys who play online on their playstations. Sometimes they yell and I can see she gets scared. She doesn't have separation anxiety or seem to be afraid of thunderstorms, but she does get frightened when lightning hits close by. She'll lay next to you on the couch, but sometimes she takes a toy and goes to lay by herself. I would say be patient with her. She will need some time to adjust.
