Meet Patrick – Our Little Survivor with a Big Heart! This handsome little kitten was pulled from a local shelter by one of our vets who noticed several kittens in need of medical care. Patrick was one of them, and he’s been a fighter from day one. Patrick needed the help of a veterinary ophthalmologist, and thanks to their care, we were able to save his eye! He has a small window of vision through it, but that doesn’t slow him down one bit. Through all the eye drops, appointments, and treatments, Patrick never once ran away—he always ran towards us, purring and ready for love. Now thriving in his foster home, Patrick has shown us just how friendly, affectionate, and resilient he is. He loves other kittens and could happily be adopted with one of his foster friends for double the joy. Patrick is almost finished with his final eye appointment and will soon be cleared for adoption. Our adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, up to date shots, Microchip, Alabama Health Certificate, and the transport service to get the new family pet to you. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application. Please be advised that our volunteers are busy rescuing, transporting, and caring for our animals. We will respond to your application as soon as possible. Upon review of your application, the rescue in AL will contact you, so you can ask any specific questions that you may have. NOTE: All Paws of Dixie animals are located in AL foster homes. They will be transported north after adoption. If there is more than one decision maker in the home, all of them should be in agreement. We DO NOT adopt to anyone under the age of 21.
