My story

Meet Herman, a two-year-old, 47-pound German Shepherd mix who is as charming as he is handsome. This affectionate fellow is the perfect blend of playful energy and sweet snuggles. He loves romping around and showing off his goofy side, but he’s just as happy to climb into a willing lap for a cuddle session. If you’ve been looking for a dog who can keep up with your adventures while also being your loyal couch companion, Herman may be the one for you. Herman is also a very smart boy. He learns new commands quickly and enjoys the challenge of training. His leash manners have improved beautifully. He’s graduated from being a zig-zagger to a much straighter, more polite walker. Herman has met other dogs, both big and small, and has done well with them, making him a good candidate for a multi-dog household. Herman’s adoption fee of $250 includes his neuter, vaccinations, microchip, and a complimentary wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. To meet this wonderful dog, call 602-971-1334 to schedule an appointment. You can also drop by during walk-in hours, Thursday through Saturday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Fun fact: Herman came in with his brother, Jack. While they’re comfortable apart, they’d be available as a pair for $350—double the fun and double the love!
