My story

My name is Joseph Otems the First of America but my family calls me Otis. I had a really ruff start in life being rescued from a hoarding situation. I'm learning how to be a dog but do best when I have a friend to show me how to do it! Do you have a sweet dog that will be my snuggly friend? My qualities? I am so glad you asked! I love puzzles and listening to piano concertos on the sofa. In fact, you may mistake me for an indoor cat because my favorite place is on the sofa, sleeping, getting pets, snuggles, and contorting my body in strange positions to maximize full relaxation. I look forward to learning more about toys but for now, my favorite play time is with my chicken treats from Costco. Fun fact, I got my name because I use to hide all day out of fear but when my foster mom started playing me Otis Redding music i would perk up and be engaged, excited to hear all the sounds. I need a special place to call home because I can be skittish when I do not feel safe in my usual environment.
