My story

Banjo is a 4-month-old and 4lb Chihuahua mix who has already faced more than most pups ever should. After his family was taken in an ICE raid, he was left with no one to care for him. Shelter Hope stepped in and placed him in foster care, where he was able to stay with his mama, grow a little older, and receive all the love and care he needed—including his vaccines, microchip, and neuter. His mama has already found her forever home, and now it’s Banjo's turn! When he first came to us, Banjo had some fur loss on his from mites, but after treatment, he’s doing great—you’d hardly notice now! He is such a sweet boy. He loves to play in the backyard, and is great with other dogs and kids. He is the sensitive soul of the litter, and can be a little shy at first, but once he gets to know you, he is all love and all snuggles. Banjo is ready for his forever home! ------ Looking to Adopt? Adoptions can happen quickly so be prepared for our call, only apply for dogs that every family member in the home wants, and wait to apply until you return from your vacation. Please Keep in Mind: Due to high demand, especially for popular dogs, not all applicants will be contacted. Moreover, we may not reach out if we have already approved a family to adopt.
