My story

Lily is a confident, charming kitty who loves being the center of attention—in the best way. She requires daily belly rubs (several times a day!) and she’s not shy about letting you know when it’s time. A gentle paw on your arm or her intent stare will clue you in. Once she’s satisfied, she’ll happily move on to chasing her favorite spinning mouse toy. Food is important to Lily. She prefers her bowl never be completely empty, and while she usually leaves a little behind for later, she’ll expect fresh food on demand. She also has dry food available at all times, which might explain her plump, adorable figure. Sunny spots are Lily’s happy place. If she disappears, check the nearest patch of sunlight—she’ll likely be stretched out snoozing or watching rabbits and birds outside while making her own secret little sounds. Lily is quite vocal, though her “conversations” are usually more about getting you to follow her to what she wants—or rolling over to request more belly rubs. She’s also territorial, marking her favorite corners with her lips, but she’s a content indoor cat who has no interest in venturing outside. Some quirks: trimming her nails is a challenge, but she uses her scratching post faithfully. She may allow brushing on her terms, and she sometimes prefers to use a potty pad around her litter box instead of the box itself. Lily has lived with a rabbit most of her life and tolerates him just fine, even cuddling on occasion, but she is otherwise very jealous and needs to be your one and only pet. She would not do well with children, as unpredictable movements can make her feel threatened. With adults and visitors, though, she shines—rubbing against legs and soaking up affection.
