My story

This handsome boy is Dax! He was surrendered to the shelter along with his sister/bestie, Luna, on 9/5 because their owner claimed that they travel too much and don't have tome time to care for them. Poor Dax and Luna are now wondering what they did wrong to end up in an overcrowded shelter. Their former owner did state that both dogs are house trained and good with children. The volunteers describe Dax and Luna as well-behaved, curious, and friendly. They have fluffy and soft coats, and they sit nicely when asked. Please do a little research on the breed and ensure you have the time, patience, and energy to keep up with huskies before adopting! Dax is approximately 1 year old and weighs 47 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines and did test negative for heartworms. He will be neutered and microchipped upon adoption. Dax is waiting patiently in run 59; his ID # is 13409. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
