My story

Perseus arrived at MACC following a severe bite incident to a resident cat. The cats and dogs in the home were permanently separated. One of the cats was able to escape the room it was being kept in. When Perseus saw the cat he began to chase, bite, hold, and shake the cate. Biting them multiple times. The owner had to pry his jaw open in order to get him to release the cat. The cat passed away from their injuries. During his stay in the care center Perseus has been observed to be highly fearful. Noted to have a tense body, lip lick, and seek exit when handlers attempt to interact with him. Due to the detailed behaviors we recommend an experienced adult only home. What my friends at ACC say about me:I can go home today!I need a home without cats or small animals.I would do best in a home with only adult humans.I'm sensitive and shy. I'll need extra help from you.I prefer to call the shots and enjoy coming to you when I'm ready for pets.Not only do I pull at heart strings, but I also pull on leash! I will need someone to help me with my leash manners.I don't always like to share my food, toys or bedding with other animals.
