My story

Once a shy colony cat, Miette has transformed into a loving young mama with a heart full of quiet strength and gentle charm. At just over one year old, she came into foster care with Safe Haven, and two months later, she surprised everyone by giving birth to three beautiful kittens. Despite her young age, Miette has proven to be a nurturing, devoted mother—not just to her own babies, but also to her adopted son, Oreo. Miette is a classic tuxedo beauty with bright eyes and a soft voice. She may be slow to trust, but for those who give her time and space, she reveals her affectionate side. She adores chin scratches on her terms, and if you're not giving her enough attention (or food!), she won’t hesitate to politely meow her request. While she doesn't like to be picked up and will hide if she feels cornered, Miette has made amazing progress in foster care. She’s food-motivated, vocal, and deeply appreciates a calm, predictable environment. She gets along well with other cats and respectful dogs who understand that boundaries are important. Miette is looking for a special someone—an experienced cat owner or foster to adopt scenario. Ideally someone who understands feral behaviors and appreciates the quiet companionship of an independent feline. She’s not a lap cat, but she’ll be your loyal little shadow, calling you for pets when she’s ready, and warming your home with her presence.
