If you would like more information about Clifford or are interested in adopting him, please contact this number, 281-902-8257 We found Clifford in January of 2024 when we were living in Tulsa. He was wandering our street with another dog. Both were extremely malnourished, stank to high heaven of urine; and had scabs on their ears and bleeding paws. We took them both into our heated garage and started nursing them back to health as best we could. Eventually we were able to find out that the other dog had previously been adopted from the SPCA, and they agreed to take him back. That left Clifford with us, so once he had been bathed and cleared by a vet, we brought him inside while we continued to try and find him a home. He turned out to be the sweetest, most loving dog you could ask for despite how badly he’d clearly been treated by humans previously. He loves to wrestle, snuggle, and play tug of war. He’s shown no signs of food aggression and has never met a stranger he couldn’t get to love on him. Clifford is great with adult humans of all ages and genders. He would not do well in a home with small children, because their noise and unpredictability make him very nervous. He might be a little excited upon introduction, but he settles quickly. He can get along with other dogs so long as they’re given time to acclimate to one another and he loves nothing more than wrestling with a canine friend. We are not totally sure about cats but given his love of chasing squirrels I would guess they wouldn’t mesh well. He’s generally a great leash walker but has a tendency to pull when he sees or smells something exciting. He is approximately 4 or 5 years old and fully up to date on his shots and is on a monthly preventative. Since being fed well and otherwise cared for, he has not had any health problems.
