Meet Angel – Your New Best Friend! Looking for a gentle, friendly, and playful companion? Meet Angel, a staff favorite who wins hearts with his soft eyes, relaxed body, and affectionate nature. From the moment you meet Angel, you`ll notice his calm and welcoming demeanor. He greets people with gentle tail wags and a sweet, easygoing charm. Whether he`s leaning in for pets or walking politely on a leash, Angel thrives on human connection and is always ready for your next adventure. Angel loves to play—whether it`s with toys or engaging with his human friends. He’s the kind of dog who’ll chase after a toy, bring it back (well… drop it nearby), and look up at you with that “Let’s go again!” expression. When it’s mealtime, Angel does get a little excited—he really loves his food! We recommend giving him space while eating or when enjoying long-lasting treats, just to make him feel safe and secure. Angel also has experience living with another dog and recently had a positive meet-and-greet with a female pup at our shelter. He started with a little curiosity and quickly shifted into playful mode, showing appropriate body language and a willingness to make new canine friends. We recommend a slow introduction with any resident dogs and, as always, a family meet-and-greet to make sure it’s a great match for everyone. Angel has had some GI issues, but he is doing much better now that he is being fed a special food. He also tested positive for heartworm, so he will need a supportive home while he undergoes treatment, and luckily for his adopter, our shelter will cover the cost of the heartworm treatment. Angel would thrive in a home that offers him love, consistency, and a bit of guidance. A few training sessions would help him shine even brighter, but his loving personality is already the star of the show.
