My story

Do you have a soft spot for big dogs with booming barks?! Zeus is waiting! Zeus is a little under one year old and currently weighs 78lbs, so he’s gonna grow up to be an even bigger handsome boy than he already is! Despite his size, Zeus really is a puppy still and will benefit from a household that can provide him consistency and training so he can become the best canine citizen he can be. Here at the shelter, Zeus initially was very overwhelmed, but he has settled in quickly and now plays with staff and accepts pets. Zeus met another dog and came on quite strong, so he would greatly benefit from proper socialization with canines and humans alike. If you have a resident dog in the home, bring them along to meet Zeus to help determine whether they will be compatible. Come by and visit this stunning doggo!This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 5-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff! Be sure to check the “shelter information” box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
