My story

This handsome brindle boy is Bixby! He arrived at the shelter as a lost dog on 8/28, and sadly, no one has come to reclaim him. Bixby is keeping his paws crossed for a new, forever home where he will be loved and kept safe so that he never ends up back in the shelter. The volunteers describe Bixby as a sweet soul. He is strong on leash, but with patience, kindness, and consistency he will learn to walk nicely. He is startled by loud noises, and it was observed that when the police firing range next door was busy he wanted to get back inside quickly. If you have room in your heart and home for Bixby, please come meet him today. Bixby is 1.5 years old and weighs 69 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines and did test negative for heartworms. He will be neutered and microchipped upon adoption. Bixby is waiting patiently in run 829; his ID # is 13223. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
