My story

Cameron is a 4-year-old, 73 lb, sweet, sensitive boy with so much love to give. Life hasn’t been the easiest for him—he was surrendered when the busy, noisy environment of his former home became overwhelming. There was an autistic child in the home, causing loud sounds and lots of commotion, which made Cameron anxious, and he would bark out of fear but he doesn't have a mean bone in his body! Cameron thrives in quieter spaces and would be happiest in a low-stress household without too many guests coming and going. Because he’s a little timid he’d do best in a home with adults and older children who can respect his boundaries and give him the gentle care he needs. This boy is not only sweet—he’s also incredibly smart! Cameron has completed professional training and knows an impressive list of commands: sit, down, stay, climb, come, release, speak, find it, leave it, easy/gentle, and more. He loves to learn, especially when tasty treats are involved—he’s extremely food-motivated and eager to please. Cameron is a wonderful housemate, too. He’s fully house-trained, crate-trained, and walks nicely on leash. He doesn’t dig, chew, or have any destructive habits, which makes him an easy companion in the home. His energy level is moderate—he’s happy to join you for walks or play sessions, but just as content to curl up for a cozy nap by your side. He’s also a social pup with other animals. Cameron has lived with a cat without issue and has no prey drive. Right now, he’s in foster care with a pack of dogs and is doing beautifully—he loves the company of other dogs and feels comforted being part of a pack. Cameron may be shy when first meeting new people and will sometimes bark out of nervousness, but his gentle, affectionate nature shines through. He’s a dog who bonds deeply and will reward patience and kindness with unwavering loyalty. If you’re looking for a loving, intelligent companion who just needs a quiet place to call home, Cameron could be the perfect match. With the right family, this sweet boy will blossom into the devoted best friend he’s meant to be.
